Messner Mountain Museum MMM Corones.
Directly on the top of the Kronplatz mountain you will find a stunning building designed by the renownd architect Zaha Hadid. Inside of this architectural jewel, Reinhold Messner, famous South Tyorlean climber and  mountaineer, established his sixth museum MMM Corones, which is dedicated to „Climbing“.

LUMEN – Museum of Mountain Photography.
On 20th December 2018, the Museum of Mountain Photography LUMEN was inaugurated. It is located in the newly restructured former summit station and is dedicated to all kinds of mountain photography.

AlpiNN – Star cook on the top of the mountain.
In winter 2018-19, the well-known and award-winning South Tyrolean star cook Norbert Niederkofler newly opened the restaurant AlpiNN Food Space & Restaurant and has since been offering culinary highlights on the top of the Kronplatz mountain. The restaurant is located, like the LUMEN museum, in the restructured former summit station. Pictures & reservations

Thanks to spectacular tours and trails, San Vigilio has become a famous place for mountain bikers. Exciting trails and destinations are waiting to be explored in just about every direction. In addition, riding technique training and bike shuttles are offered.

In winter, starting from the village wheel of San Vigilio, a 23-kilometre cross-country skiing trail runs all the way to Pederü, perfectly groomed and surrounded by the unique natural landscape of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. It is not only suitable for experienced skiers, but also for beginners thanks to the not too steep ascents.

The Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park is a major attraction with its imposing peaks and striking rock faces of the Dolomites. A network of small paths, wider forest roads and well-marked hiking trails extends directly from the village. On most of the hikes there are also places to stop for refreshments, offering the opportunity to sample traditional South Tyrolean and also specifically Ladin delicacies.

What is it? An adrenaline explosion. No other expression is better. Zip-Line is the name of a fascinating flight amid nature, immersed in the heart of the Dolomites, on a rope 100 m above the ground, towards the valley with wind in your hair and your heart pounding with excitement. The longest zip line in Europe in one of the most beautiful landscapes and natural parks anywhere.

In San Vigilio di Marebbe and in the surrounding villages there are even some very beautiful natural toboggan runs.  The closest ones are from the Pederü hut to the Fanes and Lavarella refuges or Fodara Vedla and Sennes. During the opening hours of these huts, there is also the possibility to go up with the snow cats. An experience you will certainly not forget in a hurry.

The immediate surroundings of San Vigilio di Marebbe and the high alpine pastures of Fanes and Sennes are a true paradise for every alpine sportsperson. Many easy tours around San Vigilio or up to the refuges in the nature park can also be done alone by all nature lovers, but there are also guided hikes offered by experienced mountain guides who ensure the necessary safety.

Do you actually know how many different owls there are? There are certainly a few more, but the Owl Park in San Vigilio, located near the Ciamaor Sports Centre, is home for around 90 owls of various breeds and origins, which can be admired during a self-guided tour, a guided tour or a flight demonstration.

If you spend your holiday here, you should not miss the delicious "Canci" (filled dumplings) or the "Panicia" (barley soup). The Kronplatz – Plan de Corones, Bruneck's 2,275 m high local mountain, is located on the edge of the Dolomites and is the largest and probably best-known ski area in the Puster Valley in South Tyrol. The valley station in Reischach is only about 5 minutes away from the Corso Am Graben and can be reached easily and quickly by public ski bus (stop directly in front of our house) or by car (large car park available).
